What is on offer?

This competition invites school children aged between 8-14 to create a superhero and write a story that sees their hero on a mission to save the future of the planet from the impact of climate change.

The winning entry will be turned into a short animation, courtesy of NBCUniversal, and showcased at the new Sky Studios Elstree which aims to be the most sustainable film and TV studio in the world. There’ll be Minions goodie bags available for the runners up, too!

How does it work?

Teachers can download the supporting classroom resources, including ‘How to’ videos on animation and storyboarding, as well as information on climate change.

Once completed, teachers can upload a maximum of 30 student submissions per teacher and submit them via our website. The competition will be judged by the top creative teams at both Sky Studios and NBCUniversal.

Get involved

Sky Studios Sustainability Heroes allows children to be able to think creatively and tell stories in their own unique ways. The issue of climate change is shaping everything that we do currently, this will allow them to be able to communicate an idea that will impact them in the future and be an advocate for change.
